Product designer

Design how teams plan and ship, from the first click to the thousandth keyboard shortcut.

Design at Tern is three people, and each of us designs and prototypes in code. You will work across planning, triage and agents, with an engineer from the first day of every project.

What you will do

Design new features end to end, from the problem to the shipped detail
Prototype interactions in code when a static design cannot show them
Run the design review that every release goes through
Talk to five customers a month, in their workspace

What you bring

Four or more years designing product tools people use for hours a day
A portfolio that shows decisions, not only screens
Comfort with HTML, CSS and a little React
Care for keyboard use and accessibility

How we hire

An intro call with Wren, a paid design exercise of about four hours, and a team day in Lisbon or on a call. We aim to make an offer within a week of the team day.
