New Larch accounts sign in with a passkey. Here is why we made the change, and what happens if you lose your device.
Most account takeovers start with a password: reused, guessed or typed into a page that only looked like ours. Passkeys cannot be phished, because they only work on the site they were made for.
Passkeys sync across devices through your password manager. If you lose every device, an admin on your account can approve a new one, and if you are the only admin, our support team verifies your identity before restoring access.
Security work rarely makes the product feel faster. This change does: signing in now takes a fingerprint instead of a code.
