Identity, sleeve system and release campaigns for a Porto record label.
Mono Records is a Porto label with twelve artists and no two of them sound alike. Every sleeve had been designed from scratch by a different friend, which made each record beautiful and the label invisible.
They asked for an identity loud enough to be recognised from across a record shop, and loose enough that the artists would still want their name on it.
Set in lower case, as large as the format allows, cropped differently on every release.
One grid for LPs, singles, cassettes and streaming covers. The artist owns the top half; the label owns the bottom.
Posters, short films and a social kit for each record, built from the sleeve in a day rather than a month.
Two colours that print cheaply on any stock and stay readable on a phone screen in a dark club.
